About Orok
We have the vision that airports will be fully automatized in upcoming years, so that planes can land and takeoff with no human on ground. We develop a solution gathering an artificial intelligence on a server to drive a fleet of robots.

Founded in 2018, OROK is a french startup accelerated by the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique. OROK co-founders are laureates from Réseau Entreprendre.

Job Description

Your missions
You will participe in the growth of our startup and help us build the R&D team.

Your daily missions will be:

  • Understand the robot architecture, participate to its definition, improvements and new versions
  • Review functional documentation and participate to its definition
  • Design and implement needed algorithms
  • Maintain the build farm
  • Test the code, in simulation first, then on the robot
  • Share you knowledge with junior team members, and define good coding practices
  • Be proactive in the continuous improvement of the team
  • And more widely, on the company structuration
  • Take part in the tests of the robot in real environment
  • Support customers in their use of our solution

Preferred Experience

Diploma / Experience

  • Engineer diploma in industrial computing, robotics or embedded software
  • 5 years of experience on relevant projects
  • Mastering program languages : C / C++ / Python
  • Configuration management tools : Git
  • Continuous integration and testing environments (Bamboo, Jenkins)
  • You know agile methodologies and Lean Startup principles

Considered as a plus

  • Participation in a robotic contest and/or Robotics geek
  • ROS and/or OROCOS framework knowledge
  • Linux and/or FreeRtos knowledge
  • Multi-threaded environment knowledge
  • Real-time issues knowledge

Soft skills

  • Proactive and driving force, you can’t bear to stay inactive
  • You want to work in a deep-tech start-up environement

A good English level is required, you will need to be comfortable in working in an international environment.

Recruitment Process

You will first have a 30min call interview, then 2h hours with us (1h for a technical test, 1h classical interview), then a personality test you can do remotely.
